1     mock-up made out out of trader joe's paper bags
2     cut leather from pattern pieces based on mock-up
3     punch holes into leather along stitch lines
4     mark decorative lines into leather pieces: front, back, strap
5     coat double layer of thread with beeswax to prevent breakage
6     sew leather pieces together
